Automotive OEMs

National site selection counsel for location of $1 billion automotive manufacturing plant, employing over 3,500 people and producing 180,000 vehicles per year, as well as subsequent expansion of same plant for SUV line (ranked among the “Top 10 Business Deals in North America” by Site Selection magazine).

Forest Products

Represented wood pellet manufacturer in the development of $175M processing facility in rural wood basket community, creating over 250 jobs.  Also represented multiple lumber mills and biomass projects.

Distribution and Fulfillment Centers

Incentives counsel for multiple fulfillment centers exceeding 1M sq ft. and creating in excess of 1000 jobs each.  Also represented numerous distribution centers and cold storage operations.

Automotive Suppliers

Site selection and incentives counsel to one of the world's largest Tier-One transmission manufacturers with the location of $250M facility, creating over 750 new jobs.

Solar Farms

Incentives counsel to over 300MW of solar installations, achieving the most significant property tax abatements awarded to solar projects in applicable states.

Building Products Manufacturers

Site selection and incentives counsel to international building products manufacturer on the location of $200M facility, along with two subsequent expansions.

  • Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. – Represented S&W as multi-state site selection consultant on relocation of headquarters and a significant portion of its operations to Maryville, TN (greater Knoxville area). This project involved an in-depth analysis of multiple states and site factors, resulting in the recently-announced greenfield development by this publicly-traded company.

  • Volkswagen Group of America (Chattanooga Automotive Manufacturing Plant) – National site selection counsel for location of $1 billion automotive manufacturing plant, employing over 3,500 people and producing 180,000 vehicles per year, as well as subsequent expansion of Chattanooga plant for SUV line (ranked among the “Top 10 Business Deals in North America” by Site Selection magazine).

  • Amazon.com – Part of national site selection team for HQ2. Incentives counsel on two Florida fulfillment centers (Miami and Jacksonville).

  • Tesla Motors, Inc. – Incentives counsel to Tesla Motors in the development of its $5 billion battery-manufacturing gigafactory in Storey County, Nevada, (ranked among the “Top 10 Business Deals in North America” by Site Selection magazine).

  • Microvast – Represented Company in securing PILOT property tax incentive as well as state and utility incentives for major battery manufacturing project in Clarksville, Tennessee.

  • Crown Health Care Laundry Services – Site selection and incentives counsel for development of commercial laundry operation in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area.

  • Hyundai Transys – Site selection and incentives counsel on $250M transmission manufacturing project to be located in West Point, Georgia.

  • Mercedes Global Service Parts Warehouse – Represented Scott G Davis Industrial Park on structuring project and land sale for Mercedes parts distribution center.

  • Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, LLC – Represented Hyundai on expansion of Montgomery, Alabama OEM manufacturing facility.

  • Smith & Wesson/American Outdoor Brands Corp. – Site selection and incentives counsel to S&W/AOB on the location of a 600,000 square foot light assembly, distribution and office facility in Columbia, Missouri.

  • Roxul Inc. – Site selection and corporate counsel for Danish stone wool insulation manufacturer’s first U.S. plant, employing over 150 people with a capital investment in excess of $160 million, as well as two subsequent expansions of the plant for their ceiling tile division, which will add an additional 180 employees and another $50 million capital investment.

  • HEP Peak Clean Energy – Represented company in securing 20-year abatement for solar farm development.

  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing company – Site selection and incentives counsel on $130M manufacturing facility development.

  • OEM Automotive Manufacturer – Incentives counsel on major expansion with new line.

  • Clayton Homes – Incentives counsel on manufacturing facility in Tennessee.

  • LG Electronics – Incentives counsel on solar manufacturing facility.

  • Hibbett Sporting Goods – Site selection and real estate counsel to sporting goods distributor for distribution center.

  • Birmingham Barons Baseball – Represented City of Birmingham in negotiation of lease and development of downtown baseball stadium.
